Dmitry Moskvin holds a Ph. D. in political science. He is an urban activist. In 2016, he was a candidate for the Legislative Assembly of the Sverdlovsk region. In 2018, he was a candidate for the Mayor of the city of Yekaterinburg.
He is a co-organizer of the City Pond Committee in Yekaterinburg that aims to protect the historic city center. He is an organizer of numerous political, public, and city projects in the field of civil rights protection, protection of historical heritage, and the environment. He is also a curator of contemporary art exhibitions in Yekaterinburg and Perm. In 2015 and 2017, he was the head of the educational program if the 3d and 4th Ural Industrial Biennale of Contemporary Art.
He is an urban researcher and the head of the School of Custom Excursions.
