Deputy chief architect of Kazan, Russia
Daria Tolovenkova is a deputy chief architect of Kazan. In this role, she is responsible for the development of the natural ecosystem of Kazan.
Before taking the position, she was the head of the architectural bureau ‘Architectural Desant’. In 2016-2017, the ‘Architectural Desant’ team executed more than 70 projects in Tatarstan, including the Gorkinsky-Ometyevsky forest, the Continent and Pine Grove parks. The bureau’s projects were awarded the prizes of the ArchiWOOD, International Festival Zodchestvo, and the Landscape Prize.
As part of the creative team under the Kazan City Government, she participated in the reconstruction of the Gorky Park in Kazan. In 2018, the reconstruction project was awarded the prize as ‘the best urban regeneration project in 2017’.
